Macherre is operated by Lagodish Tech, a company based in Warsaw, Poland ("Lagodish Tech," "we," "us," or "our"). This page explains how we use affiliate links across our website, mobile app, emails, and any other channel where we recommend or link to products (together, the "Services").

The short version

Some links on the Services are affiliate links. If you click such a link and complete a qualifying purchase from a third-party retailer, Lagodish Tech may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. You should assume that any outbound link to a retailer or product page may be an affiliate link unless we say otherwise. Affiliate revenue helps us keep building the Services.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not change our goal: to help you understand cosmetic and personal-care products and ingredients. We do not let commissions decide which products we cover, what scores or recommendations we give, or how we describe an ingredient. Our ingredient analysis and product information are produced independently of any commercial partnership. Where we receive a free product, sample, paid placement, or other material benefit other than affiliate commission, we will say so near the relevant content.

Where you may see affiliate links

  • Product pages, including "Buy now," "Find online," or retailer buttons;
  • Comparison tools, alternatives, and recommendation lists;
  • Articles, guides, and blog posts;
  • Newsletters and other email communications; and
  • Any other place where we link to a third-party retailer.

Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Where required by applicable law or platform rules, we provide clear disclosure near the link or at the top of the relevant content (for example, "ad," "sponsored," or a similar label).

FTC compliance (United States)

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 C.F.R. § 255 (including § 255.5 on disclosure of material connections).Lagodish Techhas a "material connection" with the retailers behind affiliate links because we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases. We aim to disclose this material connection in a clear and conspicuous manner whenever we make a recommendation, endorsement, or testimonial.

EU, UK, and other jurisdictions

We aim to comply with applicable advertising and consumer-protection rules wherever you use the Services, including the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) and the UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act and related guidance from authorities such as the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). This means we identify commercial content as such and avoid misleading omissions about our commercial relationships with retailers.

Amazon Associates and similar programs

Lagodish Techmay participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Where required by program rules (for example Amazon's Operating Agreement), the relevant program identifier or disclosure is shown near the link or in the page footer.

Pricing, availability, and third-party retailers

Prices, availability, shipping, returns, and any other purchase terms are set entirely by the retailer, not by Lagodish Tech. When you click an affiliate link and leave the Services, the retailer's terms and privacy policies apply to the rest of your transaction. We are not a party to your purchase, do not handle order fulfillment, and are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any third-party retailer.

What data is shared when you click

Affiliate networks usually drop a cookie or pass a tracking parameter so that the retailer can attribute your purchase back to Lagodish Tech and pay the commission. The information shared is typically limited to a referral identifier, the page you came from, and the purchase made; we do not share your name, email, or contact details with retailers as part of affiliate tracking. You can always:

  • visit a retailer directly without using our affiliate link;
